The Manor at Dearborn
A Retreat in The Bluegrass of Kentucky
for Rest, Restoration and Renewal

History:
The Manor at Dearborn circa 1810
Take a journey with us back in time to a very special place.
A place set apart for a fresh encounter with God, His living Word and His renewing touch for you on your own, or alongside the people you love.
The Manor at Dearborn has sustained its legacy of spiritual presence, passion and purpose throughout several generations of families of faith.
It is a charming Georgian home with a Greek Revival reface completed in 1810 by builder Byrd Price as his family home in Midway, Kentucky. Subsequently, it became The Parrish Home Place for the Parrish Family who maintained residence in the house through several generations.
In 1960, Dr. Ben Parrish passed the domicile to his grandson, Ben Walden and his wife Mackie, who renovated the home and created a successful Thoroughbred business which was passed onto their children: Ben, Elliott and Hallie Gay. Mackie, a devoted Christian, was known throughout the area for hosting Bible studies in her home at Dearborn throughout her days on the farm.
When asked how the name Dearborn was chosen, Hallie Gay said, “Dad knew that the Parrish families had lived there since its beginning in 1810. As a result, he decided to christen his ownership with the name Dearborn. He always said, ‘I named it Dearborn because dear people were born there.’ Thus, Dearborn it was.”
In 2022, Chiquita & Jeff Reddoch, owners of Stonehaven Steadings Thoroughbreds of Woodford County, purchased the property. The Manor at Dearborn continues to sit quietly amidst the historic farm which is home to Thoroughbred mares, foals and yearlings. Managed by the Reddoch’s daughter and son-in-law, Leah and Aidan O’Meara, the couple continues the legacy of the farm with its reputation for high quality horses, strong family ties and faith.
Now entrusted to Resident Manager & Spiritual Director Sandra Leslie White, The Manor at Dearborn is a place you can stay while attending retreats, visiting historic Midway and enjoying the surrounding Thoroughbred communities and Central Kentucky sites.
Due to the nature of the work at Stonehaven Steadings farm, guests to The Manor at Dearborn are welcomed to private retreats by referral only.
